A human rights lawyer. He is currently the Deputy Regional Representative for the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Southern Africa.

He has worked at OHCHR for the past 12 years in various capacities including as co-ordinator and transitional justice advisor for the Commission on Human Rights in South Sudan and head of investigations of the OHCHR Assessment Mission in South Sudan.

Prior to this, Mr. Bonsu served with the United Nation’s Peacekeeping Operations in Darfur/Sudan (UNAMID) and was head of the UNAMID Human Rights office in Khartoum.
